Once upon a time, there was a rapper named Snoop Dogg, who along with his trusted Bull Dog or Doberman (we can’t delineate which he actually had) decided to ‘embark’ on a canine clothing and toy line. … … …
We can’t believe we didn’t see these sooner. In 2006, Snoop Dogg with JPI Pets and Amazon/.com to launch his canine couture.
Apparently, fashion isn’t only for the fashion houses anymore … even the canine world has fallen prey to the hip-hop industry.
The product line was introduced by rapper, singer, song-writer Snoop Dogg for your very own little thug, or pug that is.
The launch was small, yet mighty with a tiny, squeak ghetto blaster and earphone set. If your wee one is barking up a storm you could have gotten them a pair of neat chew and rope handcuffs. To complete the toy they had created your dogs’ very own mini, snarling Doberman Pincher.
For the naked pups, they had a variety of graphic hoodies, a faux-fur coat (we are assuming it was a pimp coat) and a whole line of sports jerseys.
We also discovered a line of t-shirts, although we were not able to establish their direct connection to the Snoop Dog Pets label, but they complimented them nicely with slogans such as; “thug,” “B**** Magnet,” “Notorious D.O.G,” “BAD ASS” and more. Like so many fun ideas, this one seems to have been lost in the hip-hop off it all. Apparently rapping and tail wagging fashion just don’t go hand-in-paw.
We found that the toys and clothing are viewable on Amazon.com, but for purchase questions I would contact their customer service department.
